Necati Sezer Zeren — founder and principal engineer. Independent AI and software engineering since December 2022, after 21 years of production planning and operations automation in the steel industry.

Erdemir, 2000–2021. Production planning and slab tracking at the hot strip mill of one of Türkiye’s largest integrated steel producers, from semi-finished slab to finished coil. Prepared 3,000–4,000-tonne production programmes and charge and sequencing plans under several operational constraints at once, where a planning error could mean scrap or a line stoppage. Built automation and decision-support tools in VBA, Excel, Access and Python that cut manual entry and human error; several stayed in use after 2021. As the operations specialist on Level 3 / Level 4 production-system projects, worked alongside software developers, internal IT and IBM technical teams to turn production requirements into reliable system workflows.

What this means for your project. Requirements start from the real workflow and the people who use it; data that must stay correct is treated as the core of the system; and the person who scopes the work is the one who builds, validates and hands it over.
